7B Gazette - Special Edition

 Hello Parents and Students! As you may have heard already our school is participating in the My Booster fundraiser to raise funds for after-school activities.  Some 7th graders may be wondering... well what's in it for me?  7th graders are in a unique position to earn their own field day.  In the past, the PTO has rented a climbing wall, a dunk tank, and a ride on shark for the day!  This year we'd like to use the funds earned through My Booster to help pay for those activities.   We wanted to give you an update on our progress! As a school, we have raised $6,824 and our class has reached $560 on our donation tracker! 🎉 We think we can make it even further to help our school reach our goal of $20,000 for supplies for afterschool activities and events, school dance decorations, plywood and other materials for Music Theater Club and our Technical Arts/Shop, and to help offset rising transportation costs for field trips and other school travel activitie...

Welcome to May Only 29 days of school left and they will be busy!   MCAS Reminder: Y our student will be participating in the Math MCAS testing tomorrow (5/7) and Wednesday (5/8) Please help your student by ensuring that they get adequate sleep, a good breakfast, and arrive at school with a fully charged Chromebook.  These three things will go a long way in helping them to have a successful day. Field Trip Reminder:  Field trip permission slips are due  THIS FRIDAY MAY 10th.  If you intend to send your child on the field trip they must have a signed permission slip, out-of-state permission slip, and money into Mr. McCarthy NO LATER than MAY 10th.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mr. McCarrthy at pjmcarthy@billericak12.com.

 Happy April We can't believe it's already April!  This year has flown by fast!  A couple of updates: ELA MCAS begins this Wednesday (April 10th and 11th) Students MUST come to school with a charged and working Chromebook to take the test Please make sure that your student gets a good night's rest, has a healthy breakfast, and is ready to take the test.  We encourage all students to bring something to do that's NOT on an electronic device to use when they finish the test.   Encourage your child to keep up with Academic assignments in ALL classes Third Trimester is a good time to prepare for next year.  Encourage your child to do the following: Check Aspen frequently See their teachers or send an email if they are confused about a concept or an assignment Keep track of what is posted on Google Classroom Supplies Wish List (we are in need of the following) Pencils Tissues Clorox Wipes Canobie Lake Field Trip Field trip permission slips have been passed o...
